With issue #39, we presented a peak into MINI's future from noted auto designer, Mark Stehrenberger who is also part of the MC2 team as our Design Editor. In addition, we're going to present some coming MINI truck design potentials- with some details we believe are likely for the US market. This is the second in our series of four to five issues in 2012 and 2013 where MC2 and its best contacts look into the future of MINI with our best available information. We'll be honest about it, too. If we're not sure, we'll say so. Early in 2013 we'll look at the future tech, electric power, the effect of the BMW i-Project, and other ideas.

The MC2 Catch Can..The first product of three to be launched under the MC2 banner starting January 2013. The first oil catch can to be engineered to work with the MINI engine. Designed, manufactured, and built from the best US-sourced parts, this can was designed to greatly reduce the problem the MINI supercharged and turbocharged engines have had with oil buildup on the inlet valves, oil depositing in the intercooler, and the performance loss from these.

We offer two kits, starting with two colours, and will add to this lineup by Summer. Read our issue #41 for the details of the catch can benefits, the workings, the problems of cheap cans, and what and why we built our own catch can...
